Liya Petrova

 

Liya Petrova was only 8 years old, when she was awarded with Mozart medal, The Youngest Artist Prize of UNESCO and master’s violin. She is prize winner at international competitions: Kloster Schontal – Germany (2001 – 1st prize, prize for youngest participant and prize for best performance of Bach); Tallinn – Estonia (2002 – 1st and special prize for an interpretation of Bach); P. Vladigerov – Shumen ( 2004 – 1st prize); L. Spohr – Germany (2004 – 2nd prize); Vaclav Huml – Croatia(2009 – 3rd prize). She has been soloist of Sofia Soloists Chamber Ensemble, Concertino Chamber Orchestra – Rostok, Bulgarian National Radio Orchestra, Sofia Philarmonie, Polen Chamber Orchestra, Norddeutsche Philarmonie, National Croatial Television and Radio Orchestra, Philarmonie Hamburg. She attended the master classes of P. Munteanu, S. Kravchenko, O. Krisa, M. Mintchev, K. Mardirosyan, S.Mintz, R.Capuçon. She has had successful concert tours in France, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Italy, Estonia, Israel, Norway, Sweden, Dennmark, Serbia. At present Liya Petrova is a young student of Hochschule fur Musik und Theater Rostock in the violin class of Petru Munteanu. Liya Petrova is holding a scholarship of BSI SA Lugano.
