Dominik Rieger

 

Born at Gnas in Styria (Austria), as a young man Dominik Rieger joined the Domkantorei in Graz, as both soloist and choir member. There, under the direction of Josef Döller, he was able to deepen his familiarity with the sacred baroque repertoire. He later studied voice with Franz Lukasovsky at the Vienna Music Academy and privately with Michael Pabst and Conrad Leitner. He was a member of Reto Nickler and Ivan Parik’s Opera Studio, where he was able to work on operas ranging from Monteverdi to Janácek and Puccini.
