Shin-Heae Kang

 

Shin-Heae Kang, German pianist of Korean origin, was born in 1987 in Kiel. She received her first piano lessons at the age of three. She studied at the University for Music in Luebeck and at the University for Music and Drama in Hanover. At the age of 12 she gave her first Philharmonic debut at the Great Hall of the Berlin Philharmonic, where she performed the Piano Concerto No. 1 by Mendelssohn-Bartholdy together with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. She has performed in various cities in Europe and the USA: in the Wiener Saal in Salzburg, in the Great Hall of the Theater in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in Munich, Hanover, Florence, Rome, Mallorca, Barcelona, etc. and played with various renowned orchestras. She was invited by many festivals for example the Kissinger Sommer, the Classix-Festival in Brunswick, the festival in Passau. She was a guest on several radio and television stations in Europe and the USA. She recorded three CD with recitals of works by Brahms, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann, Liszt, Rachmaninov and Ravel. Shin-Heae studied the guitar also at the University for Music in Luebeck. She won the first prize in the national competition Jugend musiziert. Since 2011 Shin-Heae is a Young Steinway Artist..
