| Office cleaner Pippa Scholes never lost her dream of stardom as she mopped toilets and offices of an Internet Development Company. She hounded chief executive John Sewell to visit the website she had established to show off her singing voice. Mainly to stop her pestering him, he eventually agreed and was overwhelmed by the vitality of her talent and the secret prospect of pulling off a major publicity gimmick. Pippa, 27, who has been singing on the pubs and clubs circuit for years, was promised a 25’000 pounds salary plus share options in a deal which could form part of a revolution in the record industry. She was also to become creative director of her own website in a 500’000 pound venture. Naturally, the story of the beautiful cleaner transformed into a star by an Internet Company hit all the most important international newspapers. But after all this free publicity was over, the Internet Prince charming did not keep his promise and Pippa was distraught. An exclusive sequel of Oscar Wilde’s “An Ideal Husband” starring Susannah York and a subsequent chat between this great English actress and Pippa made her more determined than ever to pursue her dream. |
