| Why take inspiration from a Francesco Chiesa’s short story? Not only because of his name and because he seems to us to be one of the few Ticinese who wrote short stories that translate easily into visual images. It is just a few years after the second world war. In a small village, near a lake, a new school teacher arrives. She is pretty, free, sure of herself. For these reasons, the mayor looks at her with suspicion, but also with interest. Her pupils regard her with admiration especially Luca, who falls in love as only a thirteen years old boy who discovers love for the first time can do. |
