Rosa (Rosalina Neri) is 65. A widow, she looks younger than her age. Her daughter Lola (Silli Togni), 45, is about to divorce. Lola is the mother of Samantha (Ana Morariu), an uninhibited 25 year old. All three women live in the same building, where each one has her own apartment. They are the main characters of "Three Not So Lonesome Women", a new sit-com produced by the Italian-speaking channel of the Swiss Television. Of the three women, Rosa is certainly the most content with her life. Thanks to her pension and a few savings, she can now afford to take trips she could have only dreamt of before, and she leads a very active social life. Lola, 45, has recently separated from her husband who, as so many others, has run off with a 20 year old. In this succession of "normal life stories" all generations of viewers will be able to identify with the main characters. As usual in a sit-com, the tone remains one of irony, with plenty of opportunities to defuse situations which are not always pleasant..
