Charlotte’s passions

No footage remains of any performances by Charlotte Bachrach, a dancer and choreographer of German origin who performed under the stage name Bara. What do exist however are several photos which allowed the choreographer Tiziana Arnaboldi to bring back to life Charlotte Bara’s movements which were immortalised over the course of years. Moments from the “Dance and Mystery” show are intertwined with tales told by her granddaughters, Eliane and Nelly Bachrach, Michela Zucconi-Poncini, curator of the Ascona Museum and the architect Guido Tallone, who curated the restoration of the San Materno theatre which Paul Bachrach built for his daughter.
